A. Joan (Tatman) Roach

A. Joan Roach, 89, of London, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Roach was born July 28, 1929 in Madison County a daughter of Clayton and Fannie (Tatman) Tatman. She was a longtime member of the Newport Church of Christ In Christian Union. She helped her husband, Amos run the family farm. She loved having family around, while doing most of the cooking, and she adored her grandchildren. Mrs. Roach is survived by her children: Mary Lynn Schlosser of Columbus; Patty Wallace; Robyn (Doug) Weimer; Chris (Melissa) Roach; Apryl Myers; all of London; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years, Amos; daughter: Sherry Gale Roach; sister: Marybell Pierce; brother: Leland Tatman. The family invites friends to call at the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High St., London, Wednesday, December 26, from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, December 27, 1:00 PM., at the Newport Church of Christ In Christian Union, with the Reverend Justin Sterrett officiating and Ed Banion reading the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Roach’s memory to the Newport Church of Christ In Christian Union or Loving Care Hospice of London.
