Anton Christian Kirchner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 14, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, Anton was the cherished son of Rudolph and Anne (Koch) Kirchner.
A proud graduate of Beaver Creek High School in 1968, Anton went on to dedicate his life to the craft of ironwork as a member of the Iron Workers Local Union 290. His career reflected his unwavering commitment to hard work and the pride he took in every project. Beyond his profession, Anton was a man of diverse passions; he cherished the companionship of horses, dogs, and cats, often found joy in spending time in the barn that he loved so dearly. His love for the outdoors extended to fishing, where he found solace and serenity.
Family was the heart of Anton's life. He was especially adored by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called him Pap or Papa. He found immense joy in their laughter and companionship, creating cherished memories that will last for generations to come.
Anton is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Mary Lou (Fulk) Kirchner, who stood by him as a steadfast partner throughout their journey together. He leaves behind his sister Elissa (Greg) Staeuble, sisters-in-law Shirly Hammons and Margaret Penwell, daughters Shelly Violet, Brenda Champer, and Jennifer (Roger) Mason, as well as his grandchildren: David (Lynda) Buchanan, Nioka Ash, Brittany (Ryan) Wilson, Roger Dale (Courtney) Mason, Timothy Violet, and James (Maddie) Violet, along with several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Harvey Fulk, and sisters-in-law Gail Geike and Ruby Sargent.
