Carolyn J. Gilliland

Carolyn J. Gilliland, of London, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Madison Health. She was born December 6, 1935, in Columbus, the daughter of Russell and Agnes (Ginneman) Gilliland.

Carolyn graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953. She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church where she was a member of Altar and Rosary Society. She was a volunteer for Madison County Meals on Wheels where she had volunteered for over 30 years. Carolyn worked for the state of Ohio where she was a clerk in the finance department. She was a member of Madison County 4H and had babysat for over 20 years.

She is survived by nieces and nephews: Agnes Dale, Russell Kritner, Gene and Jean Daugherty, and Joan Palmer; great nieces and nephews: T.J. Daugherty, Rachel France, Philip and Christina Palmer, and Nathanael and Mallory Palmer, Nancy Sullivan, Walter Dale, and CE Daugherty; Numerous relatives and friends.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; sister: Sara Jean Masters; brother in law: Robert Kritner; Frank Dale.

The family invites friends to call at the Saint Patrick Parish Center, 61 S. Union Street, London, Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10am to 11am, with a mass of Christian Burial to follow at Saint Patrick Church, 61 S. Union Street, with Father Michael Hinterschied officiating. Interment service will be at the Saint Patrick Cemetery, 4300 London-Circleville Rd, London, OH 43140, following the mass.
