Deborah Lynn (Pickens) Pruitt

Deborah Lynn (Pickens) Pruitt of London passed away on September 16, 2026. Born on September 11, 1953, to William and Dorothy (French) Pickens in Columbus, Ohio, Deborah lived a life filled with warmth, creativity, and devotion.

Deborah was a proud graduate of London High School, Class of 1972. Her early passion for service began as a candy striper at Madison County Hospital, where she later worked in dietary and concluded her fulfilling career in the purchasing department. Her artistic soul thrived in painting, drawing, and crafts; she had a special fondness for nurturing plants and flowers, lovingly referred to by her husband, as her joy in “messing in the dirt.”

Above all, Deborah's greatest joy came from her family. Her love for her husband Albert Eugene Pruitt of 54 years, Albert, was unwavering, and she took immense pride in her sons, Jason, Philip (Lisa), and Joseph Pruitt. Her heart was further brightened by her grandchildren: Luke, Cole, Shelby, Christopher, Piper, Natasia, and Ahnika, along with her great-grandchild, Lunelle. Deborah also deeply valued her relationship with her sister, Patricia Oliver, and cherished the friendships she built with her special neighbors, Doug and Tammy Billows.

Deborah is preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brothers, William and Richard Pickens.

Her family will welcome friends for a visitation at Lynch Family Funeral Home, located at 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 11:00 AM, with interment to take place at Kirkwood Cemetery.
