Donna Jean (Goodson) Dickerson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Jean Dickerson, who left us peacefully on June 6, 2026. Born on July 1, 1937, in West Jefferson, Ohio, on the family farm on Goodson Road, Donna was a beloved daughter of Ralph and Thelma (Chambers) Goodson.

A talented seamstress, Donna shared her love of sewing with many through her work at The Village Sewing Center in London, which she co-owned with her husband, Al Dickerson. Her passion for the craft inspired countless others, and her patience and encouragement made her a cherished teacher to many. Donna's vibrant spirit also found community as an active member of The Red Hat Society, where she formed lasting friendships.

Donna's family was her greatest pride and joy. She is survived by her devoted husband, Al, and her children, Rick (Sheryl) Dickerson, Rob (Pat) Dickerson, and Susan (Kevin) Korecki. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dustin (Dawn) Dickerson, Tyler (Sarah Border) Dickerson, Alex Korecki, and Morgan Korecki, along with her great-grandchildren, Austin and Landon Dickerson. Donna is also survived by her cherished sisters, Anne Carter and Sandy (David) Blount, alongside many beloved nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Bill Carter.

The family will invite friends to gather at Lynch Family Funeral Home, located at 124 East High Street in London, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service, reflecting on her life and the love she shared, will be conducted by Pastor Dave Leckrone beginning at 12:00 PM. Following the service, interment will take place at Kirkwood Cemetery.
