Donna K. (Zoric) Hicks

Donna K. Hicks, 85 of London, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Madison Senior Living Community, London. She was born March 21, 1938, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of Anthony and Bessie (Pyles) Zoric.

Donna was a HUGE Notre Dame fan and had been able to attend several games. She had been a member of the Martins Ferry Chamber of Commerce for many years. She worked at the Peoples Saving Bank while still in high school and ended up as a vice president by the time she retired. Her first real job though was as a candy girl at the Court Theatre, where she met her future husband, who was working at the same theatre as an usher. That’s how they met, and the rest is history, having been married for 65 years.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, David William “Bill” Hicks; children: Michael (Kim) William Hicks; Joseph Patrick (Annie) Hicks; all of London; brother: Joseph (Ginny) Zoric of Bloomingdale, Ohio; grandchildren: Malaina Hicks; Christian Hicks; Jesse Hicks; Josh Hicks; Jenni Hicks D.O.; nephew: Andy (April) Zoric; great niece and nephew: Faith and James Zoric.

The family invites friends to call at the Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High Street, London, Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11:30AM until 1:30PM, with a funeral service to follow, officiated by Deacon Dan Hann.
