Doris Evelyn (Eaton) Salyers

Doris Evelyn Salyers, 84, 0f London died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Madison Health, London. Doris was born April 30, 1934 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of George Herbert and Anna (Huffman) Eaton. She graduated from Enon High School and then attended Wilmington College for two years. She was a long time member and loved attending the Madison County Senior Citizens. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church, South Charleston, the United Church of South Vienna, and the Eastern Star, Lodge #192. She belongs to the Faith Assembly Worship Center, West Jefferson. She is survived by her sons: Douglas (Lori Kitchen Wilson) Salyers, Jeffrey (Sharon) Salyers, all of London; Ron Salyers of Springfield; grandchildren: Molly Katherine Barron and Douglas Allen Salyers. Bradley Salyers and Jason Salyers. Amber Rogers and Rachel Salyers; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law: Jewel Salyers Johnson of Lexington, Kentucky; brothers-in-law: George Shambaugh, John Kinsinger, and Jack Hoerner. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jim Salyers, whom she married December 25, 1957; sisters: Ruth Shambaugh, Rheba Kinsinger, Elfleda Hoerner. The family invites friends to call at the Faith Assembly Worship Center, 2600 US 40, London, Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 4-7 PM., where a funeral service will be celebrated 10:00 AM., Monday, December 17, 2018, with the Reverend Jerry Poff officiating. Interment will follow in the Somerford Township Cemetery.
