London

Doris Eileen (Chesser) Minner, a beloved member of the London community, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on June 26, 1933, in London, Ohio, Doris was the cherished daughter of John and Eva (Bettis) Chesser.

A proud graduate of London High School in 1951, Doris embarked on a journey of love when she married her adored husband, Thomas Minner. Together, they cultivated a life filled with joy, laughter, and adventure. Doris dedicated a considerable part of her career to the Madison Plains School District and made a significant impact while serving on the school board. Following this, she spent numerous rewarding years working alongside Larry Peters at Peters Photography, capturing cherished moments for families in the community. Doris found great happiness in traveling up north with Tom, where they created lasting memories in Mackinaw City, exploring the enchanting Mackinaw Island, and soaking in the breathtaking beauty of Lake Superior. They also savored the serenity of Hocking Hills and delighted in Jeeping adventures together, sharing countless laughs during Jeep Jamborees. A true nature lover, Doris tended lovingly to her property, taking pride in her vibrant flower beds and well-manicured lawn, often finding solace in the company of hummingbirds that frequented her garden.

Doris is survived by her sons Jeff (Patty) Minner, Mike (Luann Eesley) Minner, and Marc (Denise) Minner; grandchildren Richie (Erica) Minner, David (Jess) Minner, Josiah (Kaley) Minner, Zachary Holt, and Megan (Andy) Harris; and great-grandchildren Ellie and Zoe Minner, Everett and Paxton Minner, and Cayedence and Caiya Gartin. She is also survived by her special niece, Teena Gallagher, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom, her parents, and her sister, Jane (Bill) Gallagher.
