Dorothy June (Hern) Weimer

Dorothy June (Hern) Weimer has “boarded the bus” and is with our Lord. Her bus ticket was stamped on Monday, 15 July 2019. Dorothy was born on June 11, 1931. She is preceded in travels by her husband, Clark William (Bill) Weimer; her Mother, Emma Tom Hern, her Father, Hanson (Pappy) Hern, and her brother Robert Hern. Dorothy was a graduate of London High School and Mount Carmel School of Nursing, Class of 1952. She retired from nursing after 60 years. Some may remember Dorothy as “Dr. Hay’s Nurse.” They worked together for over 40 years. She is survived by her children: Doug & Robyn Weimer, Mary (Weimer) & David Pizzi, and Steven Weimer. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann & Phil Cornwell, David William & Natalie Weimer, Alexis Marie (Pizzi) Deck, Anthony William Pizzi, Rebecca June Weimer, Benjamin Hanson Weimer, Sarah Gabrielle Weimer, and Asa Clark Weimer. Great-Grandchildren: Aubrey June Weimer, Chayn Isaac (Rooster) Cornwell, Sawyer Marie Weimer, Grey William and Merric Gabriel Cornwell. Sisters: Joan Hedges and Katie Byerly along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy led a wonderful and fulfilling life. With Bill they traveled to many places. Whether it was north, south, east or west, wherever family and friends could be found, Bill and Dorothy would surely visit. International destinations were not off-limits either when it came to Family. Target=Sigonella, Sicily where they met up with Mary’s family for a train trip to Germany. Dorothy and Robyn made several trips to “the state up North” and Alaska to visit Elizabeth’s family and welcome her three great-grandsons, Chayn Isaac (Rooster), Grey William, and Merric Gabriel Cornwell. Back home, she thoroughly enjoyed David’s family with her two great-granddaughters, Aubrey June and Sawyer Marie Weimer. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in London where she was an active choir member. We are sure that Bill will meet her at the bus depot with a cup of coffee and a big hug! Family and friends will celebrate her life at Rader Lynch & Dodds on Friday, 19 July 2019 from 1-7pm. Funeral will take place at the First United Methodist Church, 52 North Main St., London, on Saturday, 20 July 2019 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to a favorite charity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
