Francis Furbee (October 22, 1949; Mason, Ohio - February 21, 2020; London, Ohio) Devoted family patriarch, respected community member, dutiful farmer, and selfless mechanic Francis Cecil Furbee passed away peacefully on February 21, surrounded by his immediate family and close loved ones. Francis is preceded in death by his parents: Cecil Avery and Adeline Catherine (Bene). Francis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years: Diane Lynne (Bray); daughter: Amy Susan (Scott) Carlisle; sons: Matthew David (Kristin), and William Cecil; and six grandchildren: Lucas Furbee, Lily Carlisle, Nick Furbee, Aubrey Carlisle, Laura Furbee, and Sammi Furbee. He is also survived by sister: Mary Jo Walton, numerous aunts and uncles, and a number of nieces and nephews. Francis was a member of the St. Patrick Church community and a volunteer for their Community Supper program. He attended St. Susanna school in Mason, followed by Mason High School. Francis retired from Portman Equipment Co. in 1998 to manage his family’s farm on Armstrong Road in London. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, from 4-7pm, with a wake service to follow at St. Patrick Parish Center on South Union Street in London. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 25, at 1030am, with Father Michael Hinterschied officiating. Internment service will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, London. Memorial contributions may be made, in Francis’ memory, to Saint Patrick Church, 61 South Union Street, London. Envelopes will be available at the church.
