Gary Eugene Weimer

Gary Eugene Weimer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. He was born on April 9, 1950, in Springfield, Ohio, to Jack Weimer and Virginia Steinmetz. 

Gary's journey through life was filled with hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

A proud 1968 graduate of Northeastern High School, Gary devoted much of his life to farming and pork production with his cherished wife, Jacqueline (Smyth) Weimer. Together, they built a life rich in love and shared experiences over their 56 years of marriage. In addition to farming, Gary operated Weimer's Construction and later served as an inspector for FEMA for nearly 15 years, where he carried out his duties with the same commitment he showed in all areas of his life. 

Gary was a longstanding member of the Masonic Anthony Lodge No. 455, where he cultivated friendships and shared in a brotherhood that was dear to him. He enjoyed woodworking and furniture making. Watching his favorite football team, Green Bay Packers play (go packers go). Making use of his crock pot collection cooking for family get togethers. He enjoyed home shopping network and has a whole room to show for it.

The highlight of Gary's life, however, was undoubtedly his family. He found immense joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline (Smyth) Weimer; his children Kelly (Harold) Dillon, Kristie (Matt) Miller, and Kari Weimer; and his cherished grandchildren Jason (Miranda) Thomas, Erik Thomas, Shaline Thomas, Natalie (Hayden) Thomas, Bradley Miller, and Nicolas Miller, along with three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings Jim (Vickie) Weimer, Debbie (Joe) Nachtrab, Becky (Dan) Zeltner, and Eric (Tammy) Steinmetz; as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his warmth and wisdom dearly. Gary was preceded in death by his beloved parents and son-in-law, John Thomas.

The family will invite friends to gather and remember Gary at the Lynch Family Funeral Home, located at 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140, on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary’s memory to Cherish Hospice of Springfield, 1929 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505, ensuring that his legacy of kindness and compassion continues to touch lives.
