George Alfred Langen, 91, of Canfield, Ohio died Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Saint Mary’s Alzheimer Center, Columbiana, Ohio. George was born April 29, 1928, in London, the son of Alfred and Irene (Bushu) Langen. He graduated from London High School in 1946, where he enjoyed playing football. He then attended The Ohio State University and Wittenberg University. He had been employed with Westinghouse, Ross Labs, Jaeger Machine, Moose Beverage, and Specialty Nameplate, in both sales and management. George enjoyed traveling, particularly to Ireland and was an avid Ohio State fan. He was a founding member of the Ohio Hunter Jumper Association. A member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and was past president of the London Country Club. He loved tinkering/building and remodeling homes. He loved and adored his family and his grandchildren. George is survived by his children, Mary (Peter) Rich of Berlin Center, Ohio; Lauren (Mark) Peeso of Hilliard; grandchildren: Jake Langen, Maggie Rich, Ben Rich, and Jim Peeso; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Margaret Ann Langen; sisters: Katie Butcher and Jody Fronk. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Patrick Church, London, with Father Michael Hinterschied officiating, for immediate family only. Interment will follow at the Saint Patrick Cemetery, London. George’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High St., London.
