Glenda Kay Dennen

October 26, 1969 — March 31, 2025

London

Heaven gained a beautiful soul on Monday, March 31, as Glenda Kay Dennen (Dado) was welcomed into eternal peace, surrounded by the love of her mom, sisters, and beloved son.

Glenda was the most kind and sweet daughter, sister, and Momma—a woman whose heart and kindness knew no bounds. She was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Squires, her dad Glenn Dennen, and her grandparents Raymond & Frances Finchum and Albo & Granny Dennen.

Glenda’s joy was found in life’s simple treasures. She loved scouring yard sales and thrift stores with her Momma and sisters, shopping with her best friend of 48 years, Teresa Duty, and spending precious time with her family. Her nieces and nephews were a constant source of happiness, and she cherished every moment with them. She also had a deep love for her sweet cat, Zoey, who was always by her side.

Above all, Glenda was a devoted mother to her loving son, Seth Jones. There was no greater pride in her life than watching Seth grow, celebrating every accomplishment, and being the best Momma in the world to him.

She leaves behind a family who adored her:

Her son, Seth Jones;

Her mother, Linda Finchum Nixon;

Her sisters, Sherry Dennen Johnson, and husband Bill, and Kimberly Squires Ward and husband Damon; Her dear best friend, Teresa Akers Duty and husband Ben; Her Uncle Gary and Aunt Jane Finchum, and cousins Bernie, Kayden, Kaylee, Emma, Vayda, Janet, Raymond and Torrie.

Glenda shared an unbreakable bond with her many nieces, nephews, and special family members, each of whom held a special place in her heart: Kail Johnson, Cole Rucker (Laura), Gracie, Summer, Ellie, Ruger, Miley, River, Abigail Rucker, Tennis Welch, Olivia Welch, Savanna Perry, Malcom Perry, and sweet Austin, whom she proudly shared a birthday with.

She also held deep love for Tyler Parret, Misti Jones, and Jeremiah Jones, who were like family to her.

Glenda’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by those who were blessed to know her. While her presence here will be deeply missed, her love and spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, April 3 at Lynch Family Funeral home with visiting hours 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., funeral at 12 p.m., burial at 1 p.m. at Range Cemetery. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a meal at the Sedalia Church of Christ and Christian Union Fellowship Hall at 60 East Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Glenda’s memory by sharing kindness, love, and laughter with those around you—just as she always did.
