Gorman E. Penwell

Gorman E. Penwell, age 69, of London, Ohio, passed away on August 27, 2025. Born on September 3, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, Gorman was the cherished son of Elza “Whitey” and Margaret “Maggie” Penwell. He found joy in the roar of Indy car racing, the timeless melodies of Elvis Presley, and the wonders of the cosmos, eagerly following the space program and watching rocket launches with childlike enthusiasm. He is survived by his brother, Frank (Marilyn) Penwell, his nephew, Nick Penwell, and numerous cousins. Gorman is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Forrest Penwell, and his nephew, Matt Penwell. In accordance with Gorman’s wishes, no services will be held. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The James Cancer Hospital and Ohio’s Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during Gorman’s final days.
