Harold Clayton Arvin II

Harold Clayton Arvin II, beloved husband, father, brother, and compassionate caregiver, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on February 22, 1963, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the cherished son of Harold and Vickie (Ensor) Arvin.

Harold’s love for God the Father, his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, and his daily walk in the Holy Spirit were the foundation and driving force of his life. He met his wife, Tracy, while attending Fairfield High School, from which he graduated in 1981. He went on to pursue his passion for caring for others through nursing at Columbus State Community College, ultimately becoming a registered nurse.

Harold’s nursing career took him to respected institutions, including The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Riverside Methodist Hospital, as well as numerous hospice organizations. Wherever he served, he brought not only skill and dedication to his profession, but also genuine compassion and a heart for those entrusted to his care. He touched the lives of countless patients and families, often offering comfort and kindness during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Harold’s commitment to caring for others extended far beyond his professional life. For more than 13 years, he faithfully volunteered with Philippians 2 Ministry, dedicating his time and compassion to serving the homeless community. Whether providing food, clothing, shelter supplies, or essential services, Harold sought to meet people where they were and treat everyone with dignity and grace. His service reflected his deep desire to live out the mission of Christ by loving and serving others.

An avid fisherman and a reluctant—but always willing—traveler, Harold embraced life in his own way. He treasured time spent with family and friends, whether sharing an ordinary day together or enjoying an adventure surrounded by nature. His quick sense of humor and remarkable ability to connect with people from every walk of life made him someone who was easy to know and hard to forget. Through his words, actions, and willingness to help others, Harold demonstrated the love of Christ in practical and meaningful ways.

He found great joy in supporting missions both throughout the United States and abroad, and his fondness for animals was well known to all who loved him. Yet, above all, Harold treasured his family. The time he spent with his son, Clayton, was especially precious to him. The memories they created together will remain a lasting part of the hearts of those who knew and loved Harold.

Harold leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, service, humor, and love. His life was a testament to the belief that loving God means loving and serving others. He will be deeply missed, but his influence will continue through the many lives he touched and through the family and friends who were blessed to walk alongside him.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tracy Roberts Arvin; his son, Clayton (Emily Waugh) Arvin; his sister, Tina (Mike) Gabbard; his brother, Randy Arvin; his mother and father-in-law, Jack and Carol Roberts; his sister-in-law, Christy (Kerry) Cornett; his brother-in-law, Tom (Mary) Roberts; and many beloved nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Vickie (Ensor) Arvin.

A memorial service celebrating Harold’s extraordinary life will be announced in the coming weeks, allowing family and friends to gather together to honor his life, remember his enduring spirit, and celebrate the love he so generously shared with others.
