Herbert Satterfield passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2024, at his home in Zanesville Ohio surrounded by his family. Herbert Satterfield was born in Sedalia OH Feb. 5, 1942, to the late Ralph D. and Charlene Satterfield.
Herb attended Madison South High School. Herb was employed for Satterfield Motor Sales in Mt. Sterling Oh, Owner of Range Grocery in Range OH, Owner Union 76 towing in Midway Oh. Herb attended Madison South and completed his GED in 1962. Over the years Herb and Linda enjoyed being members of a square-dancing group, belonging to a motorcycle club, traveling, supporting Madison Plains Band Boosters and 4-H. Herb's Passions, besides loving his family, were Collecting and working on old cars which he passed onto his grandson. He was loyal to his many friends. Herb and Linda were married in 1962. He was faithful in caring for Linda until her passing in 2015, after 53 years of marriage.
He is survived by his grandsons Joshua (Marlene) & Tyler Hackett. Great Grandchildren Kimberlee and Reese Hackett. Sisters Mildred Potts, Sherry Boyd many nieces and nephews and Many friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Linda Haines, son Robbie Satterfield, daughter Kristin Hackett Early, parents Ralph D. and Charlene Satterfield, brothers James Satterfield, Darrell Satterfield, sisters, Fran Scott, Billie Marie Satterfield, and Great grandson Kaiden Hackett.
Grave side service will be held at Sugar Creek Baptist Cemetery in Washington Courthouse Ohio on Saturday May 18th at 10am.
