Jack Lee Bradford

April 5, 1937 — February 3, 2025

South Solon

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack Bradford, a cherished member of the South Solon community, who left us on February 3, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by the love of his family. Jack was born on April 5, 1937, in Urbana, Ohio, to Frances Bradford. He grew up surrounded by the gentle influences of his grandparents, Tyler and Cora Bradford, who played a pivotal role in his upbringing.

After attending Mechanicsburg Exempted Village Schools, Jack dedicated over 30 years to his work at International Harvester. In addition to his career, he nurtured a passion for farming in Madison and Fayette County for nearly three decades, where he poured his heart and soul into the land. Known for his craftsmanship, Jack was a gifted woodworker, creating beautiful cabinets and furniture that will forever carry a piece of his spirit. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often alongside his partner of nearly 20 years, Nancy Patecell Perry, as they tended to their garden, picked berries, and shared moments canning the fruits of their labor to enjoy at their beloved home in Florida.

Jack will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rick (Darlene) Butz, Karen (David) Ehman, Bob (Gina) Butz, Bill Bradford, Randy (Kay) Butz, Kevin (Mary Jane) Bradford, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind close friends Russ and Carol Seaburn and Francis and Bea Conley, who will miss his warmth and friendship dearly.

Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, his son, Jack Allen Bradford; his first wife, Nancy; and his loyal companion, Jake, who brought him much joy throughout his life.

In accordance with Jack's wishes, a graveside service will be held at Range Township Cemetery, with the date to be determined. The family invites all who knew Jack to join them in celebrating his life and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
