James 'Jim" W. Anthony

James W. Anthony, 86, of London, died Monday, January 16, 2023, in his residence. Jim was born May 8, 1936, in London, Ohio, the son of Ernest and Leona (Stewart) Anthony.

Jim was member of Saint Patrick Church, London, the Sedalia Lions Club, and the Madison County Farm Bureau. He was a Range Township volunteer Firefighter, and was a retired farmer in Madison County. Jim was a past member and avid golfer of the London Country Club.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Bob) Higgins; Laurie (Scott) Peck; sister: Esther Dillion; brother: Mark (Kathy) Anthony; special friend, Rheba Smith; grandchildren, Betsy (David) Ropp; Kate (Bart) Johnson; Sarah (Sean) Meade; Matt (Jess) Enderle; Claire (Nick) Mosko; great-grandchildren: Jarred, Caitlyn, David Jr. and Connor Ropp; Mason and Miley Meade and Campbell Johnson; great great granddaughter; nieces: Carrie Sue Anthony; Beth Smith, and Jennifer Dillion Brown; nephew: Mark Anthony and Kevin Dillion.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of more than 50 years, Linda (Peck) Anthony; brother-in-law; Gale Dillion; nephew: Eric Dillion.

The family invites friends to call at the Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High Street, London, Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2PM to 4PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, January 23, 2023, 11:00AM, with Father Pat Toner officiating. An interment service will follow at the Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia, Ohio.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Madison Health Foundation, 210 N. Main Street, London. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
