"Jane" Martha Jane Kennell

June 10, 1940 — November 1, 2025

London

Martha Jane Kennell of London, Ohio (formerly of Charleston, WV) passed away peacefully with grace on November 1,2025 (All Saints Day). She was born on June 10,1940 to Stephen and Lucy Guinn. She is survived by her children Mark (Larissa) Kennell of Howell, MI, Paul (Elizabeth) Kennell of London, Ohio and Anne Kennell of France, grandchildren Abigail Dorais, Stephen Kennell, Emily Kennell, Benjamin Kennell, Brecken Kennell, Baylor Kennell, Pierre Dessens, and Sydney Dessens and 3 great grandchildren and John Rogers of Worthington, Ohio, her devoted companion of twelve years. His presence brought her joy, laughter, and comfort, and together they shared a bond marked by care, respect, and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kennell, parents Stephen and Lucy Guinn, siblings Joseph, Patrick, Thomas, and Stephen Guinn and twin sister Mary Anne Ream. Tom and Jane were married for 45 years and he was the love of her life. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't think of him. After Tom's passing in 2007, Jane moved to London Ohio (where she could be closer to one of her sons). She enjoyed attending his children's sporting activities. Jane dedicated her life to her family, creating a home that was always warm, welcoming, and filled with care. Her true passions were sewing, homemaking, gardening, and family. She also enjoyed cooking and took pride in making her home a place of comfort and joy. The holidays were her favorite time of year — she made every season festive and lighthearted, filling her home with laughter, beauty, and love. An active member of her community and parish, Jane’s warmth, creativity, and generosity touched many lives, and her legacy lives on in the traditions and memories she built with those she loved most.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Bluebird Retirement Community (Assisting Living Facility), its owner, office staff, dedicated nurses and team who had shown Jane so much love and compassion over the last several months.

In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the American Cancer Society (which Jane supported), Sacred Heart Basilica (Charleston, WV), St. Patrick’s Church (London, OH) or a charity of your choice.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be held Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston WV.
