Joseph K. Davis

Joseph “Joe” K. Davis, age 75, passed away Friday afternoon, April 25, 2025, in Fresno, California. Born October 13, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, Joe was the son of the late Douglas and Faye (Karn) Davis.

After graduating from high school, Joe pursued his lifelong career in the electrical and renewable energy industries. He began working all across the United States as a lineman, and eventually moved overseas to Saudi Arabia, where he worked for 30+ years and met his wife, Deanne. Joe had recently been working for EDP Renewables in Indiana, Texas, and California as a high voltage electrical supervisor, specializing in wind turbines and solar panels. Although he had worked all over the world, Joe considered his residence and family in London, Ohio, as “home.” His work ethic, expertise, and passion were undeniable, as he continued working until his passing and was well-respected at each job site he was at.

Joe loved spending his free time out in nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent most of his life traveling and exploring the world and enjoyed sharing these experiences and stories with his family and friends. Joe also loved to read and learn about anything and everything, which added to his already vast knowledge. Joe truly made this most of his life, and despite his age, he remained active, adventurous, and young at heart.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Deanne. He was a selfless and proud father to his two daughters, Joanne and Josephine. He filled their home with laughter and always showed his school spirit with his Otterbein and Georgetown University hats. Joe is also remembered by his sisters Ann Davis Barnes and Tresa Davis; the Karn and O’Connell family cousins; the Davis and Beriña family in-laws; nieces and nephews: Denise, Kathy, and Aiden; and grand- niece and nephews: Tristan, Laura, Jakin, and Zachary.

Joe was one of a kind and will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 3PM-6PM, at the Lynch Family Funeral Home (124 E High St, London, OH 43140). In lieu of flowers, please take your family out to eat or your children fishing in memory of Joe.
