Joseph Thomas Handley

With heavy hearts, the family of Joseph Thomas Handley acknowledges his peaceful passing on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in London. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on November 21, 1944, Joseph was the beloved son of Joseph and Thelma (Gross) Handley. A devout member of the Church of God, Joseph diligently served as an elder for 41 years, offering boundless guidance and compassion to those in his community. His zest for life was evident in his love for travel, with many joyous memories forged aboard countless cruises. Known for his penchant for leisurely strolls and keen eye for spotting a good deal, Joseph's presence brightened the lives of all who knew him. Joseph's memory will forever be cherished by the mother of his children, Linda (Handley) Biskup, his loving children Lisa (Shawn) Kifer and Joe (Katy) Handley, and his sister Linda (Stan) Griffis. He leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to his cherished grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, and Allison Handley, Aubree (Brandon) Clark, Tarah (Patrick) Devine, Coltin (Eva) Kifer, and Shayli (Jacob) Brummett. Additionally, his great-grandchildren Remy, Jade, Patrick, and Wesley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, will hold dear the memories they shared with Joseph. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joseph's life will be celebrated at the Lynch Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Friends are invited to pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service commencing at 11:30 a.m. Following the service, an interment will take place at Somerford Township Cemetery, where we will bid farewell to a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
