In Loving Memory of Kenton Wayne Brake

March 1, 1992 - May 2, 2025

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Kenton Wayne Brake, age 33.

Kenton was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. A devoted and hard worker, he poured his energy into everything he did, but his greatest passion was bringing joy to others. His number one goal in life was to make people laugh—and he accomplished that every single day. With the most infectious smile and a laugh that lit up every room, Kenton had a remarkable gift for spreading happiness and making others feel loved. He deeply valued family and friendships and was the kind of person who showed up when you needed him, made you laugh when you least expected it, and loved you without conditions. His presence was a constant source of warmth, humor, and connection.

Kenton is preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Brake, his grandmother, Pat Brake, his grandfather Jim Herman, and his aunt, Jane Herman. While our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with them—and especially that he finally got to hug his beloved mother again after 22 long years of waiting.

He is survived by his loving father, Tony Brake, his twin brother Kevin, grandmother MaryAnne Herman, grandfather Earl Brake, uncle Donnie Herman, uncle Tim (Natalie) Brake, aunt Teri (Steve) Gray, cousins Rachel (Ethan) and Drew (Claire) Herman, Chelsea (Nate) Ulrey, Lauren (Sean) Weisenauer, Mitch (Brittany) Gray, Kyle (Reggan) Gray along with countless friends and extended family who will forever cherish the memories he gave us.

A celebration of Kenton’s life will be held on May 18, 5-7pm at Lynch Family Funeral Home. In honor of his joyful spirit, we ask that you share a laugh, hug your loved ones a little tighter, and continue to spread the kind of love he gave so freely.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the charity of your choice in Kenton’s honor.

The family will be holding a private graveside service at a later date.
