Lewis Joshua Jones

Lewis Joshua Jones, 87, of Newark, died Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Licking Memorial Hospital. Lewis was born October 16, 1934, in Mars Hill, Maine, the son of Relland and Eva (Nightingale) Jones.

Lewis was a graduate of Aroostook County Institute in Maine. He served in the United States Army in Korea. Lewis was a proud Buckeye fan and a very active outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and playing golf. He enjoyed gardening, specializing in raspberries, black berries, and strawberries.

Lewis is survived by his children: Jennifer (Wes Williams) Jones of Reynoldsburg, Penny Flowers of London, and Rellie (Lisa) Jones of Centerburg; sisters: Patsy DeLong of Presque Isle, Maine, and Hala Ongley of Arizona; grandchildren: Nicole (Bert) Hansen, Amy (Aaron) Ansel, Sara (Stephen) Tondel, Candace (Kevin) Granger, Grant Jones, and Joshua Jones; great grandchildren: Jude Granger, Elara Hansen, Elliott Ansel, and Kaiya Hansen; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse: Doreen Jones; siblings: Eugene Jones and Stewart “Al” Jones; Son in law David Flowers.
