Lois Ann Farler

Lois A. Farler, 88, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Fairmont Senior Living in Dayton, Ohio. Lois was a longtime resident of London, Ohio.

On February 13, 1938, Lois was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to the late Shade and Della (Boatright) Reynolds. Lois was raised in Lothair, Kentucky where she lived most of her childhood. After marriage and followed by a period of residing in several different states, the family settled in Ohio. Lois spent much of her career as a civil servant, retiring from the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office as an executive secretary.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, George “Bunch” Farler, one sister, Myrtle Maloney, and four brothers, Keith, Glenn, Warren, and Gene Reynolds.

Survivors include: two sons, Paul Farler (Theresa) of Whitehall, Ohio and David (Victoria) of Bellbrook, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nichole (Amanda), Matthew (Ati) and Ian (Molly) Farler; and four great- grandchildren; Liam, Lucas, Myla, and Shade.

During her lifetime, Lois enjoyed reading, especially books about her beloved Appalachia, collecting cookbooks, driving the countryside on a beautiful, sunny day and spending time with her family and her cat Ernie. Lois also loved flowers and was a member of the local garden club for many years, as well as serving as a board member for her condominium association.

Visitation for Lois Farler will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on June 30, 2026, at Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140. Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor Todd Smeltzer, will be July 1, 2026, at 11:00am, at Lynch Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Somerford Township Cemetery, 830 State Route 56 NW, London, Ohio 43140.
