Madge Arlene (Gallimore) Peterman

August 27, 1938 — February 20, 2025

London

Madge Arlene (Gallimore) Peterman, a cherished matriarch and beloved friend, will leave behind a remarkable legacy of love and resilience following her passing on February 20, 2025. Born on August 27, 1938, in London, Ohio, she was the treasured daughter of Mable (Gallimore) Durham. Madge's warm heart and indomitable spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Monroe High School's Class of 1956, Madge embodied the virtues of hard work and dedication throughout her life. She enriched the lives of countless children as a lunch lady at Monroe Elementary School before dedicating over 40 years to her role as a prep cook at the beloved Red Brick Tavern. Her passion for life extended beyond her work; she was a competitive water skier, a sport she fervently enjoyed even during her time as a nanny in Canada.

Above all, family was Madge's greatest joy. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many, leaving behind a bustling legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her spirit forward.

She is survived by her children: Tony (Kimberly) Fraley, Tonja Fraley, Kevin (Kelly Parker) Peterman, and Kim (Eric) Peterman-Brown; her brothers: Bob Durham and Lewis Durham; her adoring grandchildren Payton Fraley, Austin (Kristen) DeHart, Jordan (Tiffany) Hutchinson, Shelby (Nate) Mick, Casey (Jenna Johnson) Peterman, Tony Castle, Nikki Wright, Xavier Wilt, Chelsey (Justin) Virts, Austin (Makayla) Rehm, Lexi (Ryan Geiger) Rehm; and many beloved great-grandchildren.

Madge has been reunited in spirit with her beloved mother Mable; her first husband Jonas Fraley; her devoted husband of over 50 years, Wendell Peterman; her son Mark Anthony Fraley; her cherished grandson Josh Fraley; and her great-grandson Easton Fraley. She also joins her siblings: Sharon Durham, Roxanne Beavers, Rick Durham, Randy Durham, Jim Durham, Jack Durham, and Ramey Durham.

In gratitude, Madge's family acknowledges the exceptional care provided to her in recent years by Nikki Wright, Denise Peterman, and Chona Burks, and Chelsey Virts, whose kindness will always be cherished.
