Margaret A. (Hawkins) Young

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret A. (Hawkins) Young, age 75, on January 7, 2025, in Washington Court House. Born on January 8, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio, Margaret was the beloved daughter of Donald and Rose (Gerhart) Hawkins.

Margaret was a bright spirit, known for her love of art and her passion for cross-stitching. She cherished her younger years spent horseback riding, a reflection of her adventurous and free-spirited nature. Music was her constant companion, and she particularly adored the timeless melodies of The Beatles, which brought her joy throughout her life. A proud graduate of La Quinta High School in California in 1969, Margaret continued her education at Golden State College.

Margaret leaves behind her son, Jonathan Robert Blair; her sister, Donna (Harvey) Wilt; her cherished grandson, Dakota (Parker) Blair; and a host of family and friends who will remember her with love and fondness. Preceding her in death were her parents, her grandson Jonathan Blair, and her dear cousin Rosemary Anermouser, who shared many joys with her.

As per Margaret's wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, her family invites all who knew and loved her to honor her memory in their own unique ways.

In this time of remembrance, we encourage all to reflect on the beautiful moments shared with Margaret, celebrating the impact she had on our lives through her warmth and creativity. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
