Martha Jane (Good) Shaw

Martha Jane (Good) Shaw, age 92, formerly of Springfield, Ohio died Sunday, August 17, 2025, in Cedarville, Ohio.

Born in Springfield on April 29, 1933, to Harry M. and Grace A. (Todd) Good. She attended Springfield High School and graduated in 1953. She worked at Crowell-Collier and was a long-distance telephone operator when she met David Edward Shaw of London, Ohio. They were married in 1956 and recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Martha was a bookkeeper for Shaw Plumbing and Heating and was Co-Owner along with her husband until they both retired in 1992.

Survivors include her husband David and one son Lt. Colonel Todd Edward (Ret.) (Lynda) Shaw, grandson Christopher Wayne Shaw, granddaughter Riley Ruth Shaw, great-granddaughter River Wren Shaw. Also, sisters and brothers Frank (Mary) Good of Dayton, Ohio, Shirley (Harvey) Kirkland of Miamisburg, Ohio, David (Carol) Good, of Riverside, Ohio, Nancy (Ray) Thies of Riverside, Ohio, and Michael (Cindy) Good, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers-in-law Harvey Kirkland and Ray Thies, and sister-in-law Mary Good.

Martha was a member of the London First United Methodist Church, past president of the Twentieth Century Club, and a member of the London Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Martha’s family invites friends to call at Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 10:00am - 11:00am, the funeral, led by Pastor David Leckrone, will begin at 11:00am. The interment will follow at Kirkwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the We Care Fund at London First United Methodist Church.
