Earl Hackworth Jr.

Earl Hackworth Jr., 84, of Columbus, died Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Darby Glenn Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hilliard. Earl was born August 21, 1936, in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Earl and Evelyn (Craft) Hackworth Sr. He had been a member of the Broadman Baptist Church and had been employed by Creamer Metal Products, London, as a welder, for 22 years. He also sold insurance for Western-Southern and served as a member of the United States Army. Earl is survived by his sister: Tina J. (Mike) Hale of Springfield; brothers: Paul William “Bill” (Jane) Hackworth of London; Ted (Kay) Deneca of Largo, Florida; Steven (Tammy) Deneca of Springfield; great-granddaughter: Breaunna J. Hackworth; daughter-in-law: Mary Hackworth of Grove City; sister-in-law: Nancy Hackworth of London; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father: Sherman Deneca; wife: Louella Hackworth; son: Mark David Hackworth; sister: Dorothy Hackworth; brother: Edward Hackworth; granddaughter: Elizabeth Ann Hackworth. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, 11:00 AM, at the Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia, Ohio, with Pastor Wayne Stuntz officiating.
