Patricia Ann Schmittauer

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Schmittauer. A loving sister, Patricia peacefully departed from this world on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 64.

Born on June 15, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, Patricia, affectionately known as "Patty," was the cherished daughter of John and Catherine Schmittauer. She graduated from London High School in 1978 and embarked on a journey of compassion and service to others. From her early days assisting at her father's pet store to her role as a dedicated hospice caregiver, Patty's kindness knew no bounds.

Patty's love for classic films and television series brought joy and nostalgia into her life. Among her treasured favorites was the timeless film, Gone With The Wind. Her devotion to animals, particularly cats, showcased her tender and caring nature. Above all, Patricia held her family close to her heart, finding solace in their love and support.

She is survived by her beloved sisters, Debbie Carter and Sandy Balderson, along with her brother-in-law Rick Timmons, numerous nieces, and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents, John and Catherine Schmittauer, and her sister, Terri Timmons.

Friends and acquaintances are invited to pay their respects at Lynch Family Funeral Home, located at 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A heartfelt funeral service will commence at 11:00 a.m., where memories will be shared, and tributes offered in honor of Patty's life. Following the service, Patricia's final resting place will be in Somerford Township Cemetery.
