It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Lee (Dennis) Trueman, who left this world peacefully on September 7, 2025. Born on May 27, 1948, in Marion, Indiana, Peggy was a beloved daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Drake) Dennis. Known fondly as Mimi, she touched the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and remarkable spirit. Peggy built a successful career, working at prominent companies such as Enron and Limited Brands. Yet, it was her true passion-cooking-that brought immense joy to her life. She was renowned for her delicious "Peggy Lee's Coffee Cakes" and her irresistible clam dip. More than just a hobby, cooking was an expression of her love, as she delighted in preparing meals for her family and friends. Her time at Sur La Table allowed her to indulge her culinary creativity, a testament to her dedication to crafting memorable dishes for those she cherished. Gardening was another of Peggy's graceful pursuits, where she found solace and beauty in the earth's bounty. Family vacations to Florida, including visits to Vistana's and Disney, filled her life with cherished memories, as did her beloved trips to Italy, where she fell in love with culture and cuisine alike. Perhaps the most significant mark Peggy left was the creation of TBT Ranch-a labor of love she built with her children, which became her sanctuary and favorite place to call home. Saturday nights were sacred in her household, as they brought everyone together in laughter and camaraderie, a reflection of her deep love for family. In her final days, Peggy faced a brain tumor with the strength of a warrior, drawing on the love and support of her family throughout her battle. She was truly the best Mom, Mimi, aunt, and friend, always prioritizing her family above all else. Peggy is survived by her daughters, Sherri (Michael) Beres and Amy (Doug) Ramey, who along with her grandchildren-Alyssa (Preston) Huff and great grandson Lane, Alexa (Kate) Beres, Michael, Jimmy (Tony), Johnny, Dallas, Jordan, Finney, Everett, Dakota, and Cameron-will forever carry her legacy in their hearts. She was also loved by Pam (Bruce) Freeburn, Patty Dennis, and Robert (Suzy) Dennis, Uncle Don, Aunt Tee, Jarris, Garrett, Aunt Karie, Grandma Trueman, Aunt Chrissy, Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Jack, Courtney, Aunt Norma and Uncle Thad Crawford, Anne and Rick, Chad, Sarah, and Elaina along with numerous loving family members and nieces and nephews who held her close. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank in Peggy's memory, reflecting her everlasting spirit of giving and love for others. Peggy will always be remembered for the light she brought into the world, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire us all.
