Phyllis Dee (Stewart) Henkle, 71, of South Charleston, died Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Mount Carmel Grove City. Phyllis was born November 20, 1948, in Lancaster, Ohio, a daughter of Kenneth H. and Mabel (Smith) Reed. She had been employed Purex/Dial in London for many years. She was very involved with her children as they grew up, as she was active in 4-H, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, was her children’s softball coach, and sang in her church choir. She was a kind and generous person who loved by many family and friends. Phyllis was survived by her children: Christina Seavey and Ruby (Patrick) Ferguson all of South Charleston; John Stewart of Urbana; Philip (Sabrina) Stewart of Plain City; siblings: Gary Reed and Eugene Reed both of London; Nadine Skaggs of South Charleston; Dennis (Joyce) Reed of Amarillo, Texas; Beth Reed of London; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband: William Edward Stewart; brother: Mike Reed; sister: Barbara Angel. Friends may call at the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High St., London, Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM., with a funeral service to follow.
