Robert D. Henry

Robert D. "Donnie" Henry, Sr., 77, of London, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at the Mount Carmel Medical Center. He was born October 17, 1940 in Rosedale, Ohio a son of Robert L. and Mary (McNamara) Henry. Donnie was a lifetime member of Saint Patrick Church, London and was retired from O.D.O.T. after 35 years of service. He had been a self employed farmer for most of his life and enjoyed spending time with family, especially camping. He was an elected Central Committee member, representing Somerford Township. Donnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy E. (Sexton) Henry;  son: Robert D. (Kathy) Henry Jr.; daughter: Mary Jo (Eric) Dust; sister: Joanne Wiseman; grandchildren: Amanda (Josh) Montgomery; Scott (Kala) Henry; Emily (Richard) Turvy; Brittney (Kevin) Sturgell; Courtney Rohner (Bryan Lindsey); twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law: Bill Wiseman; and a very special canine friend, Julie. The family invites friends to call at the Saint Patrick Parish Center, 61 S. Union St., London, Sunday from 2-5 PM. , wake service to be held at 4:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Saint Patrick Church, 61 S. Union St., London, Monday, 11:00 AM., with Father Mark Ghiloni officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery, London. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Donnies' memory to the Saint Patrick Church memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church.
