Robert Joseph "Joe" Gorman

Robert Joseph “Joe” Gorman, a beloved husband, father, and friend, will be remembered fondly after his passing on February 10, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 5, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, Joe was the cherished son of Robert Nathan and Ella Mae Gorman.

Joe’s journey began in London, where he graduated from London High School in 1971. He furthered his education at Bowling Green State University before dedicating over three decades to the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a dispatcher. Joe was not only devoted to his work but also to his family. After retiring from the patrol, he found joy in working alongside his son, Brad, at Allscapes, where he poured his passion into helping the business flourish.

A true lover of the outdoors, Joe spent many cherished moments hunting, shooting, fishing, and camping, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the company of friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his dear wife of over 50 years, Karolyn (Minnick) Gorman; his son, Brad (Korrie) Gorman; his brother, Jim (Belinda) James; and his grandchildren, Taylor and Maison Gorman. Joe’s larger family also includes his second son, Mercedes (Diana) Rodriguez, as well as several loving nieces and nephews. His heart was forever touched by caregivers Sally Jordan and Michelle Hill, alongside the friendships he formed while working at Allscapes and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Nathan and Ella Mae Gorman, his in-laws Ken and Virginia Minnick, and his beloved daughter, Jennifer Gorman.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Marysville for the exceptional care provided to Joe in his final days.

Friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects at the Lynch Family Funeral Home, located at 124 East High Street, London, Ohio, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, honoring the life and legacy of a man who brought joy to so many. Joe will then be laid to rest in St. Patrick Cemetery, 4180 State Route 56 SE, London, Ohio.
