Robert Lee Persinger

Robert (Bob) Lee Persinger went to be with the love of his life on May 4, 2026. He had been married to his childhood sweetheart Florence (Warfel) Persinger for 60 years before her passing in 2020. Bob passed with complications from surgery surrounded by his family. He was born the only child of Oscar and Margaret (Becker) Persinger on November 29, 1941. He lived all his life near Mechanicsburg and was the 3rd generation operating his family farm which he has passed on to the next generation.

He had formerly been a 4-H advisor with Monroe Winners and a member of the Springfork Grange, and he was pretty good at following the direction of his wife in helping with many community activities. When he wasn’t on the tractor, he was in the barn taking care of livestock. He also loved time with his kids playing ball in the front yard, and camping, fishing, and playing cards. 

The grandkids called him Papa. Fair time was a highlight. He was at every show for their sheep, horses, goats and chickens. He struck up conversations with other local farmers and even complete strangers. Everyone was his friend. In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandson, Brock Eichenauer. He is survived by his four children: Connie (Kent) Eichenauer, Daniel Persinger, Barbie (Bryan) Reed, and David Persinger. Seven grandchildren: Daniel (Ashly) Persinger, Chrissy (Blake) Moe, Brian (Laura) Ayres, Cheri Persinger, Kile (Ashley) Eichenauer, Jared (Alyssa) Ayres, and Becky (CJ) White and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 with the funeral service immediately following at Lynch Family Funeral Home in London. The service will be officiated by Rev.
