Sherry Ann (Stires) Doggett

Sherry A. Doggett, 66, of London, went to be with her heavenly father Sunday, January 29, 2023, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Sherry was born August 9, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel Stires and Bonnie (Boughn) Bowen.

Sherry was a 1974 graduate of London High School, marrying her high school sweetheart Dan Gordon Doggett in 1973. She was a member of the Church of Christ and Christian Union where she loved singing. Sherry is remembered as a strong, Christian woman who always prioritized her faith. She was selfless, charitable, and always put others before herself-especially her family whom she loved unconditionally. She was known far and wide for her amazing baking and cooking. Sherry retired from the London Public Library and Loving Care Hospice.

She is survived by her Mother: Bonnie Bowen; Children: Darlene West, Cynthia (Jeff) Tremayne, and Dan (Christina) Doggett; Siblings: Kathy (Tom) Doggett, Sam (Sharon) Stires, Jane (Don) Rumpff, Chris (Sarah) Stires, Karen Kimbler, Trevor (Penny) Stires, Pam Karow, Jim Bowen, and Kevin Bowen; Grandchildren: Jeffery (Kelly) Doggett, Michelle Compston, Nathaniel (Alle) Compston, Olivia Rafferty, Emmelia Rafferty, Madalyn Doggett, Avery Doggett, and Lydia Doggett; Great Grandchildren: Connor and Harper Doggett, Aliza Aldridge, and Natalia Jordan. Several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

Sherry is preceded in death by her husband: Dan Gordon Doggett; Father: Jim Bowen; Sister: Barbara Bowen; Brother: David Bowen; Grandmother: Betty Boughn; Grandson: Kevin Compston; Great Granddaughter: Callie Compston.

Family invites friends to call at the Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High Street, London, Ohio on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm with the funeral service Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11am being officiated by Rev. Mark Jordan. Interment to follow at Paint Township Cemetery, London, Ohio.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High St, London.
