Shirley M. Tackett

Shirley M. Tackett, 68, of London, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, in her residence. Shirley was born August 10, 1953 in Kenton, Ohio, a daughter of Ruth Jane (Crabtree). She was a member of the Crossroad Community Church, London, and truly loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Shirley was a great and loving wife, and was also a devoted mother and grandmother. She was passionate about serving her community and giving to those less fortunate. She will definitely be deeply missed. Survivors include Shirley’s loving husband of 51 years, Ellis Tackett Jr.; children: Ellis Tackett II of London; Katrina (William) Hayes of London; Shevvonna Tackett of South Dakota; Charles R. (Audra) Tackett of Springfield; almost like a son: Anthony Kara of Missouri; siblings: Louise (James) Samons of Kenton; Robert (Sonya) Davis, Charlie (Tina) Davis, and Jody Davis, all of London; grandchildren: Matthew Hayes, Kaitlyn King, Tabatha French, Steffani Bennett, Nate Bennett, Makayla Acosta, Chase Tackett, Brandon Tackett, Caige Tackett, Gary Butcher, Tory Tackett, Elizabeth Tackett, Noah Tackett, Emily Tackett, Dakota Tackett, and Ember Tackett; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Tammy; granddaughter: Whitney; siblings: Roy, Forest, Francis, Nelli, Dellie, and Everett Davis, Barbara Sears, and Garnett Samons. The family invites friends to call at the Crossroads Community Church, 2262 State Route 56 SW, London, Monday, August 16, 2021, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
