Stanley “Whitey” Whitesock, 93, of London, died Saturday, December 16, 2023. Whitey was born February 15, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Stanley and Lillian (Hall) Whitesock. He had been a longtime member of Saint Patrick Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Reidy Council. He was a proud four-year veteran of the United States Navy, was a member of the Am Vets, American Legion, and VFW. He enjoyed the activities and social life of those organizations. Whitey was a long-term carpenter with Van Horn Construction and then went to work for Himself for a few years after that. Whitey is survived by his children, Cheryl Homeier of London; Gary (Vickie) Whitesock of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Chris (Erica) Whitesock, Donneita Nixten, Mariah (Jacob) Denton, Ryan (Taylor) Homeier; great grandchildren, Sebastian, Addy, Ariel, Will, Destiny, and Malia; two great-great grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews. Step-children, Tara and Rhonda. Whitey was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Francis Whitesock; second wife, JoAnne Whitesock; third wife: Dorothy Drake Whitesock; five brothers. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Patrick Church, London, at a date which is yet to be determined.
