Sue E. (Alfred) Essner

Sue E. (Alfred) Essner, 75, of Dover, Ohio, previously from Columbus, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 in Dover.  She was born August 2, 1946 in Weston, West Virginia, the daughter of Harry Allen Alfred and Hazel Marie (Sandy) Alfred from West Jefferson, Ohio.  Sue was a loving and caring mother to her only son, Donald (Don) Damron, dedicating her life to raising Donald as both his mother and father. She was such a generous soul and loved by many family members and friends throughout the London, Columbus, and Dover areas as well as other parts of Ohio, Florida and Georgia.  She loved spending time with her family and reminiscing about growing up in West Jefferson in a family of eight children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought so much joy into her life.  Sue had more truth and wisdom in her soul than most and her personality exuded confidence and compassion.  She will be sadly missed and forever loved by many.

Survivors include her son, Donald (Don) Damron (Charlotte) of Dover; grandchildren: Adam (Amy) Damron, Samantha (Brandon) Davis, Taylor Damron, Landis Woltz ; great-grandchildren: Kayden Damron, Bronson Davis, Analeigh Kelson, Wesleigh Davis, Rhys Damron,

Ceazar Kix-Miller, Roman Ryan.  Also survived by sisters Linda (Don) Gibson, Eva (Tom) Thiel, Beverly (Ben) Thiel, Diana Norman, all of London, and brother Harry (Sherrie) Alfred of Columbus; many loving nieces and nephews throughout Ohio and Georgia.

She is preceded in death by parents; husband John Essner; sisters Kitty (Alfred) Damron and Mary (Alfred) VanVlack; nephew Paul Alfred.
