William Larry Duffy

William Larry Duffy, 81, of London, died Sunday, July 4, 2021 in his residence. Bill was born May 6, 1940, in Bellville, Ohio, the son of Clarence Gilbert and Bernice (Weese) Duffy. Having lost his father at an early age, Bill’s mother married John Cummins who was very instrumental in his upbringing.

He was a member of Saint Patrick Church, where he was also a member of Knights of Columbus, Father Reidy Council #1786. He was a member of the UAW 402 and worked at International Harvester for 38 years. Bill was a proud member of the United States Army and was also a member of NHRA. He loved sports, especially attending all of his kid’s games and also enjoyed college basketball and women’s softball. He enjoyed gardening and watching birds.

He is survived by his children: Larry (Sharon) Duffy of Smithville, North Carolina, John (Ginger) Duffy of Huachuca, Arizona; Patty (Russell) Scott of Galloway; Margie (Keith) Harding of Springfield; David (Shawnda) Duffy of Galloway; sisters: Darlene Abner of London; Donnelle (Larry Elfrink) Cummins of London; grandchildren: Zachary, Amber, Derrick, Lauren, Cassie, JR., Natosha, Valerie, Caterina, Maureen, Rose, Lindsay, Josh, Cole, Tyler, Brandy; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of almost 50 years, Patricia (Sexton) Duffy and his grandson, Nick.

The family invites friends to call at the Saint Patrick Parish Center, 61 S. Union Street, London, Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 2-5 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 11 AM, July 12, 2021, at Saint Patrick Church, 61 S. Union Street, with Father Michael Hinterschied officiating. Interment service will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery, London. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 E. High Street, London.
