Obituary
Barbara Ellen (Smith) Curry of Duffield, Virginia and formerly of Mount Vernon and London, Ohio died on July 16, 2023. Born on September 5, 1933 to David and Ethel (Parker) Smith.
She is survived by one daughter Patricia Akers of South Charleston, two granddaughters Teresa (Ben) Duty of South Charleston and Jolene Akers (Kenny Davis) of Fredericktown and two great grandchildren Abby Reece and Ethan Bevington of Columbus. Very special nephew Tim (Sheri) Witbeck and their three granddaughters Marissa, Nevaeh and Alicia whom she lived with in her final years. Also survived by her siblings Jack Smith, Harold (Linda) Smith, Richard (Bonnie) Smith, Roger (Sonja) Smith, Mary Mullett and Nina Sampsel and numerous nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband John Curry, brother David Smith sisters Reda Smith, Ruth Frazee, Ethel Sheerin, Faye Alexander, Jean Witbeck and Helen Shoaf.
Services to be held at Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 E. High St London, Ohio, on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 9-10 am with burial services to follow at Greenhill Cemetery Johnstown.
