David Charles French

David Charles French 87, of Leesburg Ohio passed away on July 12, 2022, at Mount Carmel Grove City. He was born December 6, 1934, in Logan, Ohio, the son of William and Emma (Briley) French.

David retired in 1993 from AEP Columbus and Southern Power Plant where he had begun working in 1952. He was a Free Mason from the age of 21 where he served in various officer positions in the Masonic Temple. He was a member of the Paramuthia Lodge No. 25 in Athens, Ohio. David truly enjoyed his time spent with his granddaughters. He was an avid reader and enjoyed his time with a good book. He loved fishing which included making his own fishing tackle. Before his passing he said he looked forward to wetting a line with his fellow fishermen that have gone before him.

He is survived by his children: Tara French and Charles (Salvy) French; grandchildren: Molly Joy French, Montana French, Emma French, Abby French, and Everlee French; numerous nieces and nephews and his cat Callie.

David is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 64 years Beverlee Joy (Lovsey) French; daughter: Dava Joy French; sisters: Sheila Patterson and Jeri Smith.

The family invites friends to call at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 East Main Street, Bexley, Ohio 43209, with Pastor Tim Iseringhausen officiating from 9am to 11am Saturday, July 23, 2022, with a funeral service to immediately follow. A private interment will follow. The family respectfully asks all attendees to wear masks.
