Donald Edward Shannon

Donald Edward Shannon, 71, of Columbus, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

Don proudly served in the United States Army. He was a jack of all trades, he worked in maintenance and as a mechanic. Though he did not attend church regularly, he, most definitely was a believer. He loved camouflage, as it reminded him of his days in the Army. Donald was in the US Army from September 1970 to January 1975 with the 82nd Airborne. He was a huge Ohio State fan.

Don is survived by his daughter: Shelly (Tony) Jones of Columbus; siblings: Patty (Gary) Warner of Ashtabula; Tom Shannon; Jim Shannon; both of Columbus; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Carlie Shannon.
