Gloria Jean Andrix of London, Ohio, passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 88. Gloria was born in Columbus, Ohio, on March 29, 1935, the youngest child of George and Florence Showalter. Gloria married Paul Andrix on April 11, 1958, and lived in the London area for the rest of her life. Gloria and Paul had two daughters, Paula and Laurie. Gloria was devoted to her daughters and always put their needs above her own. To Paula and Laurie, she was “Moo”, and to her great-grandchildren, she was “Grandmoo”. Gloria retired from the Madison County Probate-Juvenile Court in 1996. She also assisted Paul with office work associated with his business. Surviving Gloria are her daughters, Paula (Steve) Adams and Laurie Shade; her grandchildren, Sam (Shaleigh) Adams, Stephanie (Kevin Mack), Matthew Adams, Kristen Shade, and Brad Shade; and her great-grandchildren, Gavin Adams, Grayson Adams, Avalee Adams, Kelsey Mack, Luke Mack, and Caitlin Shade. Gloria’s many nieces and nephews also survive her. After 36 years of marriage, Paul passed away in 1994. Gloria’s siblings also predeceased her, Robert Showalter, George (Joe) Showalter II, Margaret Lewis, and Betty Creiglow. Gloria was a great lover of animals. She loved all the dogs, cats, horses, and even a couple of raccoons and squirrels that came into her life. With that in mind, Gloria’s beloved cats, Ethel and Molly survive her. Calling hours at the Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 E. High St, London, Ohio, are Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with a Memorial Service to follow, officiated by pastor David Leckrone. A private interment will occur at a later time.
