Joseph Paul McIntosh, 92, of London, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in his home. He was born June 12, 1928, in Amity, ME, the son of Gordon and Mary (McDonald) McIntosh. Mr. McIntosh joined the United States Navy when he was 17, during World War Two. He came out of the Navy and attended trade school where he became a mechanic. He moved to Connecticut where he went to work for the Moriarty Brothers. He enjoyed antique original cars, traveling to car shows from coast to coast and a 20+year retirement where he spent a lot of time in Winter Haven, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Charlotte (Knights) McIntosh; children: Karen McIntosh/Knights of Bunnell, Florida; Janet (Rick) Nels0n of London, Ohio; Ronald (Linda) McIntosh of New York, New York; daughter-in-law: Pat McIntosh of Avon, Connecticut; grandchildren: Alan Jr., Shannon, Heather, Cory, Emily, Lindsay, Jessica, Rebecca, Erick, Matthew, Michael, Kelly, Ana, and Paul; numerous great-grandchildren; great- great- grandchild Avery Maxfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. McIntosh was preceded in death by his parents.
The family invites friends to call at the Saint Patrick Parish Center, 61 South Union Street, London, Monday, May 24, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM, with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to follow at the Saint Patrick Church, 61 South Union Street, London, with Father Michael Hinterschied celebrating.
