Nona J. Knight Thomas, passed away December 7, 2020, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, after a lengthy battle with heart, lung, and kidney disease. She was born December 3, 1935, to Lester and Allura May Rigdon, in Caledonia, Ohio. Nona was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, 6 sisters, and her husband, Larry Thomas. Nona is survived by daughters, Suzette (Jimmie) Moran and Marcia Finney, both of London. Also surviving Nona are grandchildren, Dan (Amanda) Moran; Heather (Dave) Shingler; Amanda (Jason) Adelsberger; Rich (Hannah) Bivens; great-grandchildren: Evan and Tristan Moran; Finley and Hadley Shingler; Ana Adelsberger; Adrianna, Maxximus, and Maggie Bivens; extended family: Steve (Tonya) Thomas; Tammy (John) Call; Scott (Carrie) Thomas; Shawn (Courtney) Thomas, and a host of Thomas grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nona adored each of her family members. Nona was formerly employed by Creamer Sheet Metal, Otis Elevator, The Madison Press, London Florist, Stan Dritz Law Firm, and Snappy Mart. She also taught herself the art of calligraphy, she loved making greeting cards and was very proud of memorizing all the books of the bible, the states, and their capitals. A special thanks to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center in London, and the staff at the OSU Wexner Medical Center. Memorials may be made in Nona’s memory to the Madison County Humane Society or by giving blood to the Red Cross.
