Richard ‘Rick’ D. Skaggs, 66, of Cambridge, Ohio, died Thursday at the Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio. He was born December 24, 1956, in Louisa, Kentucky, a son of Willis and Sylvia (Wheeler) Skaggs.
He was always tinkering with cars. The louder, the faster, the better. He was the original owner of J & J Towing in London. He loved bluegrass music, but most of all, he loved his family.
Rick is survived by his mother, Sylvia; son Josh (Cara) Skaggs; siblings: Deborah Tackett; Ken (Lin) Skaggs; Patricia Anderson; daughter-in-law: Robin Skaggs; grandchildren: Gabriella, Mattie, Jaxon, Teaira, J.J., Nakiyah, and B.J.; multiple nieces, nephews, and extended Family. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis; wife, Cindy; son, Jason; nephew: Jon Tackett; brothers-in-law: Andy Anderson; Frank Tackett Jr.
Rick’s family invites friends to call at the Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 124 E. High St, London, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow. Interment will follow at the Hampton Cemetery in West Jefferson.
