Robert L. Pothorski

Robert “Bob” L. Pothorski, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 24, 2020, in London Ohio. Bob was born on July 8, 1951, in Carrollton Ohio, to the late George and Pearl Avenelle (Wright) Pothorski. He grew up on the family farm with his brothers and sisters where they shared many special times together. Bob was a graduate of the Ohio School For The Deaf in Columbus Ohio. He married Marie (Niven) Pothorski on February 14, 1979. They have one daughter, Niki L. Pothorski. Bob had two sons Brian K. Pothorski and Brad A. Pothorski with his first wife, Brenda. Bob and Marie resided in London Ohio for 36 years. Bob was a talented man who could do most any kind of work from general maintenance work to home remodeling or automotive repair. There was nothing he couldn't do. Bob enjoyed helping others and took pride in always learning new ways to accomplish things. He was an avid sports fan with an emphasis on supporting his favorite football teams Michigan and the Steelers. Bob was a loving man with a very compassionate soul. He was a funny man who enjoyed being “the life of a party”. He will be remembered for his huge heart, big beautiful smile and willingness to teach, help and work alongside those in need. Bob loved animals and especially enjoyed his animals Candy, Chase and Diablo. Bob is survived by his life long love Marie (Niven) Pothorski, two sons Brian (Lorrie) Pothorski of Indianapolis, Brad (Amy) Pothorski of Fredericktown and “favorite” daughter Niki (May) of London along with his precious grandchildren: Austin Akers, Breanne (Aj) Mooney, Haylee Pothorski, Jerrick Pothorski, and Anya Pothorski. Robert is also survived by his siblings, Barbara Hartman of Stow, John (Betty) Pothorski of Norwalk, Ronald (Beverly) Pothorski of Carrollton and Patricia Pothorski of Carrollton along with many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by the Rader Lynch-Dodds Funeral Home. Due to the pandemic a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to www.rldfh.com.
