William Joseph “Bill” Sullivan Bill Sullivan, 88, born July 26, 1934, in Madison County, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2023, at the Bluebird Retirement Community. He graduated from Monroe High School In 1952 where he excelled in basketball and baseball (he was an excellent pitcher) and his twin brother, Bob, was his catcher. He was a United States Army Veteran where he spent several months in Iceland with his twin brother. He attended Bliss College studying business and accounting. He began working with NCR (National Cash Register), in 1959 in Washington Court House, Ohio and for over 30 years was in management in the states of Texas, Wisconsin, California, and Kentucky. He loved harness Racing, he owned several horses that raced and were every successful at Scioto Downs, Northfield Park in Cleveland, and around the country. He retired from NCR and moved to Florida, where he enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, and socializing with friends. He moved back to Mount Sterling in 2004, and was a member of the American Legion Post 417. Bill is survived by his sister, Mary Theresa Sullivan Sherman; step-daughter: Terry Delarosa, her daughter, Lindsay Kosar, and her children; close friend: Laverne Eichenlaub; nieces, Joy Lee Butz Sullivan, Debbie Sue (Gary) Angles, sister-in-law, Janet Reed Sullivan; nephews, Patrick Edwin (Danna) Sullivan, Michael James (Debbie) Sullivan, Peter O (Lisa) Sullivan, Joseph Robert Sullivan, and Jerry Edward (Tena) Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Marguerite (Goings) Francis Eugene Sullivan, older brother, Francis Edwin (Jacqueline) Sullivan, twin brother, Robert Vincent Sullivan, and his loving wife Mary Ann Creal Sullivan, of Texas. The family invites friends to call at the Saint Patrick’s Church, 61 S. Union, London, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:00AM., with Father Pat Toner officiating. Interment will follow in the Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, London. The family would like to thank the Bluebird Retirement Community staff for their care and support.
